What's The Big Idea?

Did you know that 1 in 7 (15%) of the UK population are neurodivergent? Did you also know that 64% of employers admit to having ‘little’ or ‘no’ understanding of neurodiverse conditions? Atypically Edinburgh aims to improve this lack of understanding by highlighting neurodivergent voices which showcases the highs, lows and misconceptions about neurodiversity.

I'm Natasha Turnbull. I’m a Third Year Journalism Student at Edinburgh Napier University. Growing up with siblings with Autism and ADHD has made me passionate about reporting on neurodiversity and eager to raise awareness about neurodiverse conditions. This passion has inspired the creation of Atypically Edinburgh.
